Welcome to my tailored parent workshops. I offer an in-depth exploration of the English Curriculum for all ages, focusing on its foundational elements and core skills, along with practical advice to help your child with homework, revision and 11+ preparation. Furthermore, my Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) workshop will provide you with the insights needed to guide your child through their physical and emotional growth. Charlotte Ellison-Oakes
TailorEd is dedicated to providing tailored tutoring services that focus on individual learning styles and needs, for both parent and child. My goal is to enhance academic performance, boost confidence, and enable children and parents to achieve.
I am currently in my 26th year of teaching and throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across the full age range, from Early Years to A Level, in both state and private education. This diverse experience has allowed me to continually develop my teaching skills, lead English, Drama and PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizen Education) departments. I have also managed and mentored teams of staff as part of the leadership team. I have contributed to curriculum development, designed and delivered professional development programs, mentored Early Career Teachers (ECTs), coached trainee teachers, and created resources and ran workshops to support and engage parents. I am also an examiner for AQA English GCSE. In addition to my educational qualifications and experience, I have a counselling qualification, allowing me to work in a variety of supportive ways with pupils.
I am passionate about working with children, helping them build self-belief and empowering them to achieve their goals. My approach to teaching is focused on creativity, aiming to make learning both engaging and accessible. Above all, I strive to develop well-rounded individuals, who are confident, compassionate, and enthusiastic about both learning and life.
